Pettus Automotive uses personal information to operate and secure the website, provide requested shopping and dealership services, route an inquiry to the appropriate location, remember privacy choices, and—only with permission—measure aggregate website engagement through Google Analytics.
Information we collect
Website and device information
- IP address, browser and device type, referring page, requested URL, timestamps, approximate region, and security events.

- If analytics is allowed, page views, broad traffic source, device information, inventory filters, vehicle interactions, and similar usage events. Names, phone numbers, email addresses, application fields, and free-form messages are excluded from Pettus GA4 events.
Information you provide through retail tools
- TradePending may collect vehicle details, appraisal answers, contact details, communications preferences, and other information shown in its valuation flow.
- Capital One receives the vehicle VIN, displayed price, and image URL from eligible inventory pages and collects any information you choose to provide in its Auto Navigator experience.
- RouteOne may collect identifiers and contact details, date of birth, address, residence, employment, income, vehicle information, co-applicant information, and other credit-application data displayed in the secure form. This may include sensitive personal information needed to process a credit application.
- Xtime may collect contact details, vehicle information, requested maintenance or repair details, appointment preferences, and other information shown in its service-scheduling flow.
Administrator information
Authorized website administrators may provide account identity details through protected sign-in. Administrative changes, feed runs, inventory removal events, and routing diagnostics are recorded for security and operational accountability.
How we use information
- Deliver pages, inventory, valuation, and finance experiences.
- Connect a shopper with the dealership associated with a vehicle or selected in a trade or finance experience.
- Process appraisals, inquiries, and credit applications.
- Keep the website and protected administration area secure.
- Remember and enforce privacy choices, including GPC signals.
- With analytics permission, measure aggregate shopper journeys and diagnose website quality.
- Comply with law, enforce agreements, and defend legal rights.
Disclosure, sale, and sharing
We may disclose information to the Pettus dealership selected by the shopper; vendors that host, secure, measure, or support this website; TradePending; Capital One; RouteOne; Xtime; dealership CRM providers; finance sources selected through a credit application; and other providers necessary to fulfill a request. Those companies may process information under Pettus agreements, their own consumer terms, or both.
Pettus Automotive does not sell personal information for money through this website. Optional advertising and analytics storage are denied by default and Global Privacy Control is honored as an opt-out of sale, sharing, profiling, and advertising on this domain. Functional retail tools may use provider-controlled cookies or storage when their pages or widgets load; see the Cookie Policy and the notices inside each tool.
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.
Retention
- Privacy choices: 180 days, unless replaced sooner.
- Pettus GA4 event and user-level data: targeted for a 14-month retention period; aggregate reports may remain longer.
- Appraisal, inquiry, CRM, financing, and credit-application records: retained by Pettus and the applicable providers according to the transaction, legal obligations, dealership policy, provider terms, and finance-source requirements.
- Security, administrative, inventory, and privacy-request records: for the period reasonably necessary to protect the website, document changes, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes.

Subject to applicable law and exceptions, California residents may ask to know, access, correct, or delete personal information; receive a copy; opt out of sale or sharing; limit certain uses of sensitive personal information; and receive equal service and pricing when exercising a privacy right.
